Trends
C. laevipes has shown some losses since the 1962 Atlas. Although characteristic of older and relatively undisturbed habitats, it is able to colonise roadsides, river- and railway embankments, and remains fairly frequent across its range. It is considered alien in Ireland (Scannell & Synnott, 1987), where it remains rare.
