Trends
The map of this taxon in Perring & Sell (1968) was incomplete, being based only on records confirmed by N.K.B. Robson. It remains under-recorded in many areas. Overall, its distribution is probably stable. The relative frequency of the two subspecies in Scotland requires further study.
World Distribution
Suboceanic Temperate element. Subsp. obtusiusculum is confined mainly to lowlands of N.W. Europe.
